Serena Williams Makes The Hat-trick of WTA Title

World No.1 Serena Williams avenged her worst ever loss in 16 years against Simona Halep and defeated the Romanian 6-3, 6-0 in the final to complete her hat-trick and win the WTA Finals title.
The 18-time Grand Slam champion Williams thrashed Halep in the final after losing to her in their opening group match 6-0, 6-2. After winning the WTA Finals title 3rd time in a row Williams said, 'She was playing so well and I was literally on the side of the court and I just laughed. I said, Serena, you have nothing to lose. Just relax! And then once I relaxed I just started playing better and kept making my shots.'
She further said, 'I didn't expect this. I just started training because I had such a knee in Beijing so I wasn't even sure if I would be able to play here. And now I've won the Billie Jean King trophy again so for me it's just really amazing, I'm so excited.'
