Riding on a sparkling knock of 99 by Sachin Tendulkar, India posted a huge 321-9 against Pakistan in the second One-Day International at the PCA Stadium here on Thursday.

The little master fell one short of his century but led the run-riot to guide India to a big total in the company of Gautam Gambhir, who also scored a half-century. They added 173 for the second wicket to help India take a firm grip in the middle overs.

An excellent batting display by Indian batting line up took the score to 294 runs to give a firm foundation.Ganguly and Tendular,the opener pair adding sixty eight runs on the board for the first wicket imposed inspiration to the incoming batsmen.Ganguly scored 39 runs,Tendulkar-29,Gambir-25,Yuvraj-77 and MS Dhoni made 49 runs.Yuvraj,Dhoni,Robin played aggressive cricket by scoring run a ball made possible the total score of 294 runs viz to an average of six runs per over.
Pakistan fielding looked,inspid, bleaked and needs more attention, the bowling of Shoiab and Tanvir contained the Indian batsman but Yuvraj and Dhoni explosive batting pulled up the run rate the crux of one day.

Butt scoring 129 runs for Pakistan was splendid effort and kept his cool to remain till the tail enders.He was ably supported by his team mates Misbab-ul -haq who scored 39 runs and till the two pair were at crease the Pakistan were still in the game. Pakistan were, 248 all out in 47.2 overs,India winning 46 runs.

The standard of both teams in department of bowling and fielding needs s to be improved.
