The Bourke's Luck Potholes are a rock unit at the Panorama Route in Mpumalanga Province in eastern South Africa, near Graskop on the R532. At the confluence of the Treur River in the Blyde River Canyon is one created by the erosion of the flowing water in the dolomite rock, which later turns into the Blyde River Canyon. Through further erosion, particularly by the movement of stones in swirls, deep potholes (scours) and tubes have been cut in the rock. The attraction was named after the prospector Tom Bourke, who found a small amount of gold at this location (the corresponding vein of gold, however, was outside of his claims).
