BYD F0 is one of the best electric car by BYD, the fastest-growing Chinese car manufacturer that is pioneering hybrid and electric vehicles.
BYD F0 comes with a 1.0L engine with three cylinders of fury and 68bhp on tap, the F0 weighs a mere 870kggiving it a fairly decent power to weight ratio, but then again F0 owners might want to avoid steep hills when carrying passengers. The F0 has become one of China's top selling small cars, the F0 starts at a mere 36,900RMB for the base spec model and rises to the giddy highs of 46,900rmb for the top model.
Now BYD are planning to develop a 1.2T engine to give the F0 a torque boost, the new turbo comes as BYD are pushing their new turbo range which also includes a 1.5T and a 1.8T as well as dual clutch gearboxes to take energy saving to the next level. Adding a larger 1.2T to the F0 will likely expand sales to a wider audience and may make the F0 a popular second car choice for inner city travel.
