AFTER months of waiting, Universal Orlando has confirmed the Harry
Potter theme park will officially open on June 18.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is the Orlando theme park's $200 million
addition.
Construction is in full force, with dozens of painters and carpenters completing
the snow-capped Hogsmeade village and the iconic Hogwarts castle, which will
house the park's new dark ride, Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey.
The Dragon Challenge features a twin high-speed roller coaster with many
iconic elements from the Triwizard Tournament.
The Flight of the Hippogriff will simulate a training flight on the magical creature.

The Three Broomsticks and adjacent Hog's Head pub will feature traditional
British fare and drinks including Butterbeer and pumpkin juice.
Ollivanders wand shop is an "incredible interactive experience" where the wand
chooses the wizard.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter attraction is due to open in the autumn
2010.
