Sachin Tendulkar Completes 30,000 International Runs

The "God of Cricket", "Master Blaster", Sachin Tendulkar had added yet another feather to his cap. He became the first cricketer in the world to complete 30,000 international runs. He achieved this feat when he scored his 35th run at the test match against Sri Lanka just being played at Ahmedabad, India. So, another world record for this little genius, who seems to pocket all the world records with such ease. But only he knows his passion for the game, and how he still practices regularly (like an aspiring player), even though he is by far the best around.

A week or so back, Sachin had just completed 17,000 runs in ODIs, another first by any player. In test matches he is nearing the 13,000 mark, another world record and a first by any player. He also holds so many other world records, some important ones being; 43 centuries in test matches and 45 centuries in ODIs, and 144 half centuries in both versions of the game. Another unbelievable stat is that including domestic matches, he has scored 125 centuries and 208 half centuries. He has scored more than 45,000 runs in all his games including domestic matches. Besides this, his bowling skills are also well known and the records speak for themselves. He has got nearly 200 international wickets, and another 100 odd domestic wickets.

So here we are. 20 years of top class cricket. 45,000 runs, 125+ centuries, 200+ half centuries, and nearly 300 wickets. Then there are numerous other records even he doesn't remember himself. And he still is the same humble boy that he was in his school days. He is the God of Cricket. Or as many believe - "If you have to, commit a sin when Tendulkar is batting, because that time even the Gods are busy watching him". [/b]
