Music review of Superstar - Super Star

The movie Superstar is another movie with a Bollywood background with the actor Kunal Khemu in a double role. The movie is a challenge for the actor who did his job well but the effect of the movie weakens for its less efficient script. The movie was good for cinematography and directed well by Rohit Jugraj who earlier directed the action movie James for Ram Gopal Verma.

The story of the movie Superstar is about Kunal and Karan who are similar in looks and are into Bollywood. Kunal is a struggling middle class actor and Karan is a rich boy into Bollywood who gets an easy entry in Bollywood’s top lists. The struggling actor gets the fame but the public praises he gets is not for him and the double role confusions gets carried in the movie with the story.

The performance by the actor Kunal Khemu is up to the mark. Music is ok with a few god songs. Direction by Rohit Jugraj’s is quiet better than James. Performance by actors Darshan Jariwala is fine and Aushima Shwhney is also good in the movie. Reema, Vrajesh Hirjee, Zafar Karachiwala are good in their roles.

The story of the movie had scope to deliver a better product if the script and editing was done in a better way.The final product turns out to be average for the unanswered quizzes left in the movie. The movie doesn’t look complete and lacks complete grip on the story. The movie may do below average business in theatres for lack of star attraction in the movie.
