Rules of 20 - 20
1. Fielding : power play will be from 1-6th over, and during power play two men, besides the wicket keeper, must be close fielders – at slip or within 15 yards of the bat. No more than 5 fielders can be on the leg side at any time.
2. Bowling : Bowlers may bowl maximum of 4 overs per innings, Front foot no balls will result in 2 runs and the next delivery will be a free hit. A batsman can only be out from a free hit if he is run out, hits the ball twice , obstruct the field or handles the ball.
3. Time : Umpires may award a 5 run for wasting the time. If the fielding team does not start to bowl their 20th over within 75 minutes, the batting side is credited an extra 5 runs for every whole over bowled after the 75 minute mark. Also an incoming batsman will be timed out if he hails to take guard within 90 minutes after the fall of a wicket.
4. Tied Matches : If the match ends with the scores tied and there must be a winner, the tie is broken with a bowl out ( similar to a penalty shoot out in foot ball)
5. Rain : Each side must have a minimum of 5 overs batting to constitute a match.
