Monica has been in the studio currently, putting the finishing touches to her forthcoming new album ‘Still Standing’. She’s been in the studio with her longterm producers and collaborators Bryan Michael-Cox, Missy and Jermaine Dupri, just to name the few. Two snippets from the project have leaked called ‘Betcha She Dont Love You’ and ‘Stay or Go’. Listen to them below:
Betcha She Don’t Love You is produced by Missy Elliott and is quite different for Monica. It’s pretty rectro-urban with its 80’s inspired melody. Stay or Go’ is produced by Ne-yo and is a compelling R&B number with banging piano chords that do their duty and allows the gorgeous arrangements to shine. I just love this beat.
