Kunar is in Afghanistan and Chitral is in Pakistan. The two should not be mixed as they are as separate as day and night. The Kunar population is pashtun whereas chitralis inhabit Chitral. Geogaphy and history should be very carefully stated. The pics are not from Chitral, as it is much greener.

In the last pic, you can see American soldiers with thier vehicle, so it is definitely Afghanistan.
