Chevrolet Volt 2016 - The Next Generation of Electric Car
The new electric car introduced is Chevrolet Volt 2016, powered by an unique engine that works on both electric and gasoline efficiently. This hybrid car can drive on pure electricity for everyday commutes and seamlessly switches to gasoline for longer journeys. The gas-powered generator provides more electrical energy for journeys. A 240V charging station that cuts down the charging time to approximately four hours is available. The Chevrolet Volt was presented at the Las Vegas CES 2015, shown to average more than 900 miles between fill-ups which can take between 10-16 hours with a standard 120v station.
Bold lines that complement an overall aggressive posture, also help create a form that is sporty, quick, modern and smooth. This as well as the styling of components of the mirrors, grille, rocker panels and rear spoiler, help provide an extremely low drag coefficient which in turn, contributes towards its fast and agile performance. These external characteristics are displayed in the interior too, with the four bucket seats emulating its sporting capabilities and the two interactive 7-inch LCD screens that reflects its intelligence. Of the displays, the first is the driver information center that is behind the steering wheel, and the latter is the center panel touch-screen which shows efficiency feedback, driving mode selections and even entertainment options.
