I'm slow to realize how
wide is the chasm to be
crossed over by each

How to climb tall hills
Get over shared hurdles
of personal interests in
which goals must meet

In rules let's not settle
for trivia walking paths
of separate interests to
broaden equal goals

Can a bridge be built
of your half and mine
holding on to self as
we enter another's life

Are we ready to build
deep strong supports
for a relation melding
two into an oneness
