This movie is directed by Abhishek Kapoor and Produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar. ‘Rock On!!’ also marks the debut of Farhan Akhtar and Prachi Desai as an actor. The film also stars Arjun Rampal, Purab Kohli, Shahana Goswami and Luke Kenny.
Character Sketches:
Arjun Rampal (Koe Mascarenhas) is an idealist. A man of few words, he lets his guitar do the talking. His loyalty towards his girlfriend and his band makes him a real hero; he heads a band of musicians.
Purab Kohli (KD-Kedar Zaveri) is the "Killer Drummer" is the scion of a successful jeweler family. His disagrees with his father on most issues. On stage it may look like he is slamming those drums with a vengeance but actually, he's only just breathing.
Luke Kenny (Rob Nancy) is the laid-back and quiet fence sitter of the band who is an excellent keyboard player.
Farhan Akhtar (Aditya Shroff) is a bohemian boy from Delhi who had left the comforts of his parents home to chase his dream of becoming a singer in a rock band. He has flared for unconventional poetry but at the same time with a message for today's youth makes him an instant hit with the younger lot. He is the lead singer of magic.
Synopsis: ’Rock On!!’ is the story of 4 friends who put together the greatest band this country has ever seen, but never makes it. Years later fate conspires to bring them together again and set them on a journey back to where they left off... a soul-searching pilgrimage into their past.
