Born in 1962, George Kavanagh discovered his love of photography while working for the Irish Times after graduating in Visual Arts at the University of Wolverhampton. He subsequently shot for The Independent Newspaper and The Daily Telegraph in London. George earned his first advertising assignment shooting for American Express at the tender age of 24. He has worked for a range of high-profile clients including the FT, Smirnoff, Mercedes-Benz, Orange and Shell Oil. George's recent awards include PhotoGraphis (2005), Communication Arts (2003), PDN (2003) and many others. He has been an Imagestate shooter since July 2002.
