MapmyIndia Navigator Device Last month MapmyIndia Navigator, an in-car GPS navigation device was introduced in the country by MapmyIndia. The device essentially aimed at redefining the way people travel in India.
Now the latest update is that the device has been pre-loaded with maps for the entire country and in addition a real time voice guided turn-by-turn navigation is also bundled. Through satellites, the MapmyIndia Navigator can establish the user’s current location and allows them to locate destination throughout India, rendering instructions at every turn, which are supported by voice prompts.
The navigation device’s Quick search feature makes it possible for users to find and navigate to vital points of interest along the way and perhaps next to the destination. Further more, it also provides alternatives to certain roads.
It connects 55,000 towns and villages that are linked by the national and state highways, amongst which 150 cities include significant landmarks.
