Nokia has just announced that they will be releasing their 5800 XpressMusic’s Star Trek edition phone.The phone will be loaded with exclusive Star Trek content that includes, four special Star Trek animated screensavers, three Star Trek wallpapers and eight exclusive ringtones, including "Phazer Shot", "Red Alert" and "Kelvin Communicator". The phone will also come with a special Phaser Application.The phone, sadly, will initially available with European carriers and not in all countries.Features include a 3.2 inch TFT touchscreen, built-in accelerometer and promixty sensors, handwriting recognition support, GPS, 3.15 mega pixel camera, stereo FM radio, MP3 music player, 3G connectivity with HSPDA high speed data, WiFi with UPnP technology built-in, 16GB memory, TV out put, video calling, instant messaging, emailing, document viewing and full HTML web browsing facilities.It’s available in Red, Blue, Black and Silver colors.



The 5800’s Star Trek edition will only be available through Phones 4U in the UK starting on May 1st. However, it will also be available through Vodafone, O2, T-Mobile and Orange with the equivalent of a $32.87/month contract.The phone will offer you lots of Star Trek-related content: screenpapers, wallpapers and exclusive ringtones like: Phaser Shot, Kelvin Communicator and more.
