Sony Computer Entertainment Inc (SCEI) recently announced the new motion controller for PLAYSTATION 3 (PS3).The controller for PS3 has been created by refining and improving the world’s most popular PlayStation controller that has shipped more than several hundred million units worldwide, while inheriting its basic concept and design.According to Kombo, the PS3 controller on display at E3 will offer similar motion tracking abilities to the Wiimote.As the system would detect the pattern and colors of the lights, it's purportedly more accurate than the Nintendo Wii's default infrared remote and can track distance from the TV as well as speed.
Controller uses a combination of a webcam, presumably mounted in front of the TV, as well as LED lights on the peripheral itself.it does have some solid features, including X-Y-Z, pitch, roll, yaw and lateral motion detection, and Bluetooth for wireless play.
