All alone in the darkness of the night.
I cannot see ---there is no light.

Sounds of silence everywhere.
I cannot hear----No one's there.

My heart has gone from warm to cold.
No new memories---only the old.

My mind seems to be locked in the past.
I feel all alone---I might not last.

Lost and cold without a fire.
For this life---I have no desire.

I reach out my hand for someone to take.
Again, no one is there---there is much at stake.

I have so much pain locked inside my heart.
Where will it end?---When did it start?
