Beautiful AHAADITHS - 6

A'Hadiths

Guidance from The Prophet (saws)

Hadrat Abu Musa Al-Ashari (r.a.) reported: 'The Messenger of Allah (saws) said: "Allah, the Exalted, will continue to stretch out His Hand in the night so that the sinners of the day may repent, and continue to stretch His Hand in the daytime so that the sinners of the night may repent, until the sun rises from the west."'
Related by Muslim.

Commentary:

One of the inviolable Signs of the advent of the Inevitable Day of Judgment is the day when the sun will rise from the West. The above narration informs man that the doors of 'taubah' and forgiveness are left wide open by the Lord Most Merciful for any who wishes to turn back to their Lord Creator in repentance….for once the day is established when the sun rises from the West, these doors of 'taubah' will be closed shut.

Absolutely regardless of the quality or the quantity of sins one might have committed in one's past, if one turns back unto their Lord in 'taubah' and seeks sincere repentance for one's transgressions before one has tasted the element of death or before the Day of Judgment is established, it is expected that one would find their Lord Forgiving and Merciful.

A'Hadiths

Guidance from The Prophet (saws)

Hadrat Ubaidullah bin Mihsan Al-Ansari (r.a.) reported: ‘The Messenger of Allah (saws) said, "Whosoever begins the day feeling family security and good health; and possessing provision for his day is as though he possessed the whole world.``’
Related by Tirmidhi.

Commentary:

To have been bestowed with good health, peace and security, and provision for a day are indeed amongst the greatest blessings of the Lord Most Gracious for the life of this short and transitory world. If one lacks peace, or health, or fears where one’s next meal is going to come for oneself or one’s family, all the treasures of the world cannot provide one with satisfaction or contentment.

A'Hadiths

Guidance from The Prophet (saws)

Hadrat Abdullah bin Masud (r.a.) reported: ‘The Messenger of Allah (saws) used to supplicate: "Allahumma inni as`alukal-huda, wat-tuqa, wal-afafa, wal-ghina (O Allah! I beseech You for guidance, piety, chastity and contentment)."
Related by Muslim.

Commentary:

The Messenger of Allah (saws) preferred to make supplications which were short and general in nature, but wholesome and comprehensive in its meanings.

Huda: Guidance towards virtue, ability to do good deeds, and remain steadfast on the Straight Path of ALLAH SUBHANH.

Tuqa: To comply wholeheartedly with the Commands of Allah and to prevent oneself from what the Lord has forbidden is ‘taqwa’ (piety, or the fear of Allah).

Afafa: means prevention from sins and also means evasion from seeking help from others.

Ghina: enough sustenance which makes one independent of all others except ALLAH SUBHANH.
