Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge continues to make history at the box office. The film which has been running for 14 years at Mumbai's Maratha Mandir, has just set another record when it completed 700 weeks. The film, which released on October 20, 1995, was the directorial debut of Aditya Chopra and was produced by Yash Raj Films. It starred Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol in the lead roles. It is by far, the longest running Indian movie.
Filmed in London and Punjab, the flick won 10 Filmfare Awards, including the Best Actor and Best Actress awards for SRK and Kajol. In fact, the movie established SRK-Kajol as one of the best and most successful Bollywood pairs on screen.
