LG Introduced Wallpaper OLED Display Panel

The LG Display shown off recently was a 55 inch wallpaper type OLD panel that you can stick up in much the same way you would stick up a magnet. The current flagship TV on sale from LG is 4.3mm in thickness and in comparison the new display is just 0.97mm in thickness and weighs just 1.9kg. The display is flexible to ensure that its application onto the wall is easy and fast. It can also be peeled back off a magnetic mat that you apply to the wall first to hold it in place.

LG showed off the LG Display in OLED panels in sizes of 55 inch, 65 inch and 75 inch at the CES and now the company are planning a huge 99 inch flexible display for pinning to the wall this year. The company also plan on improving the flexible displays to use them in wearable devices along with implementing them onto the dashboards of cars.

At the moment we donâ€™t know when the OLED wallpaper displays are going to be made available for homes, but the idea of being able to stick up your TV is a good one and makes moving the TV about easier.
