
Brooklyn based artist Alejandro Duran, has collects trash from the Mexico's Carribean coastline and arranges it into inspiring artwork of colorful landscape to highlight side effect to the natural world and due to increasingly over development. The resulting photo series depicts a new form of colonization by consumerism, where even undeveloped land is not safe from the far-reaching impact of our disposable culture. Duran's work will be on display at the Habana Outpost in Brooklyn on April 22nd and at the Xo Ki'in Retreat Center in Sian Ka'an on May 11.
