Natural Sand Castles

Photographer Joshua Nowicki had a chance to see bizarre phenomenon when he had a chance to walk around the shores of Lake Michigan. There are frozen towers of sands every where. The strange layered sand castles are formed when blasts of wind slowly erode layers of frozen sand, much like how a river might slowly create a canyon. Joshua wanted to take more pictures, but, alas, the sun melted the towers.
