HP Pavilion DV7T 16.9-inch Notebook: The system now starts at $1,000 ($850 discounted) with a 2GHz Pentium dual-core, 2GB of memory, a 250GB hard drive and a DVD burner. Custom orders can upgrade to as much as a 2.66GHz Core 2 Duo or 2GHz Core 2 Quad, 8GB of RAM, 1TB of storage split across two drives, and a Blu-ray combo drive. Purchases made today ship in mid-March.

The updated model switches from the original, 16:10 ratio 17-inch display to a new 17.3-inch, 16:9 screen with a sharper 1600x900 resolution. It also gets AMD's new ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4530 as its baseline graphics chipset and can climb as high as the Mobility Radeon HD 4650.
