DECO App - Charge Your Smartphone Through Cosmic Rays
Here is the good news for smartphone users that you can even charge your smartphones by these two smartphone apps that can detect the cosmic rays by using smartphone cameras. This project is named as DECO (Distributed Electronic Cosmic-ray Observatory) and all you have to do is to download two free apps, which are DECO app and a Data logger app and cover your smartphone camera with duct tape in order to keep stray radiations away. The DECO app stores the 'muons' effectively and the data logger app tracks event information such as the time, location and observations. Afterwards, just place your smartphone anywhere even in drawer with the screen facing up and you never need to put your smartphone under the sky for the detection of 'muons'.
If you put your phone left running idle, it will record images after few seconds while the DECO app constantly analyzing the image and record the event while your phone will be getting charged.
