Procter & Gamble introduced a new cleaning device for your clothes that is much better than typical laundry. Swash will freshen up your clothes and it does this by removing odours along with wrinkles. The whole process to do this will take just 10 minutes and it is a great way to give your clothes a boost of freshness in-between regular washes.

The Swash has been designed in a slim housing of steel and it stands just 4 feet high, which means that it can fit into even the smallest of homes. Procter & Gamble designed the Swash with those people on higher incomes in mind, who typically buy garments that are known to be difficult to care for such as designer clothing, blouses that are bejewelled and such.

To freshen up clothing you start the cycle by hanging one piece of clothing on the rack, which is located inside the machine and then insert a pod containing a solution that will neutralize odours. The pods are purchased in packs of 12 with a price tag of $6.99.

The Swash has different settings depending on the item and how heavy it is, with cycles ranging from 10 or 15 minutes. When you push the button to start the machine it will spray your item of clothing with the odour neutralizing solution and brings the item of clothing back into shape. Heat is then sent around the clothing to remove wrinkles from the garment.

Procter & Gamble say that the Swash is suitable for the majority of clothing, including wool, polyester, Lycra, cashmere and lace. However it isn’t recommended that you try leather, velvet, silk or fur in the Swash.

Bloomingdales will be stocking the Swash along with other retailers from next month.
