Laura Hadland, a museum director with an affinity for Roman mosaics, decided to enter the art world herself with a portrait of her mother-in-law. What makes this portrait different than most is the fact that it measures more than 48 feet tall and 32 feet wide and is almost made entirely out of toast.

According to Livbit, Hadland utilized 9,852 pieces of bread, nine toasters and 40 helpers to assemble the piece, which was a a birthday gift for the woman portrayed.
After a review, Hadland was contacted by the Guinness Book of World Records, who confirmed she had set the record for the largest toast mosaic - a record that apparently already existed.
