A good news for all those who are always worried about their printing expenditure. Suvir Mirchandani, a 14 years old boy, has told a way to United States to save millions of dollars annually. The boy exhibited his science fair project during a project fair in his school. He told in his project that by changing typeface on a printed document, a lot of ink could be saved. He developed his own typeface named Garamond.



As we all know, ink is more expensive than the printing paper, if world will follow his recommended font style, 24% less ink would be used as compared to current usage. The boy claimed that through his described method, $20,000 could be saved in only Pennsylvania school district.

The boy also gave a saving plan to U.S. federal government. U.S government has planned an expenditure of $1.8 billion on printing activities. Merchandani said that he could help the government to save $136 million annually.
