The industry's first tablet PC with multi-touch screen technology has taken superb to a new level with the Dell Latitude XT2. The XT2 lets you use natural gestures like a pinch or tap for scrolling, panning, rotating, zooming and more.

The 12.1-inch Dell Latitude XT2 now comes with the newer Intel Core 2 Duo SU9300 or SU9400 processor, Intel’s GMA 4500MHD instead of the ATI Radeon Xpress 1250 graphics, and with DDR3 memory instead of DDR2 in the Latitude XT. The capacitive 1280×800 display supports both multi-touch and pen inputs and uses LED backlight.

Other features of the Latitude XT are:

  • Up to 11 hours, 28 minutes of battery life with six cell battery and optional 6-cell battery slice
  • Daylight Viewable display that has up to 100 percent more luminance than the HP EliteBook 2730p
  • Full-size keyboard, touchpad, point stick and battery-free pen give users input flexibility
  • Combines performance with high touch accuracy to allow touch interface with small icons without drops or hangs
  • Comprehensive services options with Dell ProSupport.
  • Improved connectivity with new LCD-based wireless antenna design
  • Enhanced hinge design for improved panel stability
  • SATA drive support providing updated storage technology and enhanced performance
  • Comprehensive security features adding Dell ControlVault and ControlPoint Security Manager

  • Manageability with integration of Intel vPro and DASH 1.0 compliance.

The XT2 starts at 3.62lbs when configured with a 4-cell battery and 3.78lbs with a 6-cell unit. Dell’ new Tablet PC has a base price of $2,399.
