Miss Japan 2007, Riyo Mori, (R) is announced the Miss Universe 2007. The 20-year-old dancer wants to open an international dance school.


Mori reacts as Miss Universe 2006, Zuleyka Rivera, places a sash on her. Mori nervously grabbed the hands of first runner-up seconds before she was declared the winner.

Mori trembled in awe as the diamond-and pearl-studded crown was placed on her head by the former beauty queen.

Mori is crowned Miss Universe 2007 by Rivera. Also finishing in the top five were second runner-up Ly Jonaitis of Venezuela and third runner-up Honey Lee of Korea.



Riyo Mori will now travel the world for a year on behalf of charities and pageant sponsors.
