Mesmerizing Colorful Nature Photos
The Envisat has orbited the Earth over 50,000 times and continues to take on a one-of-a-kind perspective on the planet. On March 1st ten years ago the Envisat satellite was hurled into space with a mission to photograph the Earth with eyes higher than the sky and now the European Space Agency has released a set of its best returned images to honor the Envisat 10th anniversary.
These photographs are unlike any other, for the devices used to capture the images hold unique abilities. For example, they can see through clouds, accurately capture the rainbow of colors offered on land and water and also measure atmospheric radiation levels for the agency’s research opportunities.
