The i506 is an all-in-one unit, and comes loaded with Windows Vista Home Premium. This allows the i506 to easily function as a Media Center PC, and this is aided by the enclosed wireless keyboard/mouse set along with a Media Center PC remote. Besides, the brilliant 22-inch inch LCD panel with a native resolution of 1680 x 1050 allows for HD viewing without issues.

The i506 comes fairly loaded, with 4GB of RAM, a 2.16GHz Intel T580 C2D processor, a dual-layer burner and a 500GB HDD. The graphics is powered by an Nvidia 9300m GS chip which is a bit underpowered but provides enough oomph to run a HD video fine. The front side sports a 22-inch touch-sensitive LCD panel, and this flows into the bezel that accommodates the speakers at the bottom. The design element of the speakers in in sync with the overall color and design, and hence they don't look out of place.
It's retail price of Rs 87,000 is a tad high, even for a lifestyle product. At this price point one might as well look at the 20-inch Mac, which offers a significantly better OS/hardware combo and is far more responsive. It may lack the touch responsiveness but makes up in spades elsewhere.
