Criticism : a free for all activity
From a comparatively safe judgement seat we all like to take a dig at someone at some time or the other.
It may be constructive or malicious. The former is a blessing in disguise.
Malicious criticism, usually made-up, hurts and damages. It is seldom genuine and when it is so, it is merely to get the anger out of one's system.
It has little or no effect on the wrongdoer.

A politician is the best example of hypocrisy.
Politicians maintain double standards. If their target happens to have even one weakness they will highlight it but they will bypass a mountain of their own misdeeds.
At election time they become like - "Saw chuhe kha ke billi haj ko chali"
Both hypocrites and politicians do good business in life.
