Prison Beauty Contest Columbia: This year’s contest pitted a drug smuggler, a robber, and a Marxist guerrilla against each other. The pageant was won by Miss Yuri Uribes who is serving five years for drug trafficking. She was arrested trying to board a plane with half a kilo of heroin in her stomach. Her jeweled top and a slit skirt are said to have given her the edge over the other contestants. Sounds like one classy broad.





Every year, the Good Shepard women prison in Bogota, Columbia, organizes an inmate beauty contest in honor of the Holy Virgin, the patron of the prisoners. The contest is followed by a masquerade party and the whole event is broadcast in all of Columbia. The Good Shepard is the largest women prison in Columbia.
