Saumya Tandon Born on 3 November 1984. She is an Indian actress. She is currently the host for Dance India Dance. She starred in the Imtiaz Ali directed movie Jab We Met, starring Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor, where she plays the role of Kareena's sister, Roop. She is also known for her role in the Sony TV aired soap Aisa Des Hai Mera, where she plays the role of a half-Brit girl named Rusty.
saumya's appearance as a host of the best ever dancing show Dance India Dance in the history of Indian Tele Industry till year 2010 has rocked the show. Her expressions and humor are just the perfect blend of beauty and mind. Recently she was awarded best anchor on indian television for 2010.
Saumya made her movie debut in the Imtiaz Ali directed romantic movie Jab We Met, starring Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor. She plays the role of Roop, Kareena's sister. She also acted in a 30 minute festival film produced by a Canadian production house Maya, where she has as her co-star Khalid Siddiqui, who acted in the movie Joggers' Park. Currently she is working in a punjabi film Welcome to Punjab starring Sarabjit Cheema.
