Olympus has recently launched its latest digital audio devices to DM series.The new models are Olympus DM-4 and Olympus DM-2 with large color LCDs and easy-to-navigate menus.Olympus DM-4 digital audio device has 8GB and Olympus DM-2 digital audio device has 4GB of internal memory.The main features of these devices are audio recording, editing and playback of music, audio books and textbooks and podcasts.Olympus DM-4 digital audio device is capable to voice recognition and Text to Speech functions that are a DAISY Player certified by Daisy Consortium.Olympus DM-4 and Olympus DM-2 digital audio devices are built-in stereo microphones for audio recording, Voice Guidance and a microSD/SDHC card slot (up to 16GB).

Olympus DM-4 and Olympus DM-2 also support formats like PCM, MP3, WMA audio files.Olympus DM-4 and Olympus DM-2, both are equipped with USB 2.0 high-speed connection and a rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery with enabling up to 20 hours of operation.The color of Olympus DM-4 is black and the color of Olympus DM-2 is silver.Both the digital audio devices will be available by June 2010.Olympus DM-4 is priced at US $299.99 and Olympus DM-2 is priced at US $249.99.

I dunno, for $300, why not just get an iPod or a Zune? What differentiates this product? I just don't see a consumer benefiting from this almost 1980s styled prodcut.
