Aircel, a leading network carrier in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, has introduced a Lifetime prepaid offer, which is available for only Rs. 199/- exclusively for the cellular service provider’s subscriber-base in the grace period. In addition, the local call tariff has been reduced to as low as Re. 1.
On the other hand, the STD calls will be priced at Rs.2.74/min. Furthermore, to cut down the call rates and SMS rates, consumers can go ahead and use Rate Cutters – RC 36 for mobile calls at only 49p/min, RC 33 for 100 local SMS/day at 5paise and RC 69 for TN Aircel calls at 20p/min, TN other mobile calls at 49p/min and STD at Rs.1.50/min. The tariff will be applicable for a period of 30 days.
Last August, Aircel and mobile phone maker Nokia teamed up to offer affordable prepaid bundles in Tamil Nadu. In December, Yahoo! partnered with several network operators including Aircel to deliver its oneSearch mobile search product on handsets in India.
