The Genius G-Pen M609X and G-Pen M712X each support Windows and Mac, and run at 4,000LPI resolution. Each can be flipped from standard to widescreen aspect and back, with the G-Pen M609X offering 9 x 5.5 inches of workspace in widescreen or 7.25 x 5.5 inches in regular; the G-Pen M712X, meanwhile, offers slightly more space, with 12 x 7.25 inches in widescreen or 9.5 x 7.25 inches in regular.

There are also multiple shortcut keys spread around three edges of the tablet surface – 26 on the M609X, 34 on the M712X – which can be used to trigger applications and macros. Finally various shortcut buttons and scrollwheels are up top, which can be used to control volume, zoom and the like.

Each comes with PhotoImpact 12SE, Macro Key Manager and Office Ink/Free Notes, while the larger model also gets a copy of PhotoShop Elements 6.0; they’re available now, priced at $169 for the Genius G-Pen M609X and $219 for the Genius G-Pen M712X.
