Verizon has recently introduced its 3G Global USB Modem for international travelers.Verizon 3G Global USB Modem will provide 3G both inside and outside of the US without locking them into notebooks with ExpressCard slots.Neither Novatel nor Verizon are specific about feature support, though it's implied the device may support EVDO on Verizon's network and HSPA in Europe and elsewhere.Verizon 3G Global USB Modem is available at a price of US $150 with two year contract. Using the modem abroad requires at least a $60 US plan with pay-per-kilobyte access abroad; a $130 GlobalAccess plan extends the 5GB data cap to include roaming in Canada and supplies 100MB per month in 31 other countries. Choosing a $220 plan doubles that foreign transfer limit to 200MB.
