The largest wind power in the world is in India at the location of Dhule, a small village in Maharashtra. Unfortunately ago to talk about himself for a bad story has been brought to its knees by the continuing thefts of copper made by the poor inhabitants of the area.

The wind farm of Indian Dhule is one of the great projects of local government, but its construction is in substantial delay and heavy "red" because of the thefts continue. Over the past two years and a half thieves (often improvised) ransacked facilities stealing copper content in order to sell on the black market.

The losses are tremendous: about $ 54 million, which unfortunately creates a record never achieved before. The company which is in charge of the project is the suction (it is the fifth in the world) and is seriously thinking of transferring shack and puppets in the nearby state of Gujarat and much more to the south in Tamil Nadu.

A hard blow to the state of Maharashtra where the Economic Development Council (Medco) has recently highlighted as one that would be harmful drastic. For now, the plant develops 592 MW but that could rise to 2,000 within eight months.
