From Kashmir to Pak, a V-Day message
Jammu, Feb 13: It's the eve of Valentine's Day,
and a political group in Jammu and Kashmir
has decided to say it with flowers to Pakistan to
convey the message of peace.
Socialistic Democratic Party (SDP) activists put
roses on small boats on the waters of river Chenab
at Akhnoor, 30 km north of Jammu, on Friday afternoon.
The river flows to Pakistan.
"We are celebrating Valentine's Day in Jammu and Kashmir
as the Indo-Pak Love and Peace day," said SDP president
Darkshan Andrabi. She told newsmen that her party was
for peace between the two nations and "an end to terrorism
once and for all".
The boats also carried Indian flag, red ribbons and messages of love. "We love you" was the message for the people of Pakistan," Andrabi said.
