Hired, fired and rehired!
Too bad mommy didn‘t warn her that life outside of the Ram Gopal Varma camp is brutal. Jiah, much like Antara Mali and Nisha Kothari played Lolita to RGV till he got bored and bumped her off for a new find!
Still, she managed to pick herself up latched on to a few small projects. The only noteworthy role she‘d landed was in Ken Ghosh‘s ‘Yahoo‘ opposite Shahid Kapoor. But the antics of playing director‘s (play)mate from the RGV days didn‘t bode well here.
Apparently, she was annoying, interfering and tardy and those are the polite things people were saying about her.
Basically Jiah was the most unpopular person on the sets of ‘Yahoo‘, despite Ken Ghosh‘s infamous temper!
The last straw was the inappropriate comment she made on Shahid. After that, her exit was quick, painful and public. Even though the film was almost near done, Ken Ghosh swiftly replaced her with Genelia D‘Souza.
Jiah must‘ve woken up on the wrong side of someone‘s bed to shoot her mouth off this way! Hasn‘t she figured that she‘d not being hired for her invaluable creative contributions?
So she‘s been nursing her bruised (read shattered) ego for a while. But in a new twist to the story, she‘s been signed on for a two film deal with UTV? the producers of the very film she just got booted out from!
Someone there must really like her! They also tried to spin the story by claiming Jiah had left on her own free will and no, they did not have to drag her screaming, wailing and hissing out of the sets.
But when the news of her getting sacked broke, Ghajini producer Madhu Mantena signed Jiah for a 3-film deal, claiming that he ?owed her at least this much?. Maybe for favours previously rendered?
Though I don‘t think he has any idea what he‘s going to do with her. Jiah just got downsized from the hip NRI chick to Bollywood‘s newest charity case!
From her perspective, any work is good work! And I have a sneaky suspicion that she‘s rather pleased with the outcome. As unceremonious as her ouster was, it did land her five projects at least!
This is possibly the best thing to ever happen to her career!
