Jesus Statue Destroyed By Lightning
62-foot statue of Jesus Christ at a church in Ohio was struck by lightning during a severe thunderstorm and exploded into flames.The statue, worth US$300,000 and made of fiberglass and Styrofoam, burned to the ground, leaving only a wire frame behind. The resulting fire also caused US$400,000 damage to Solid Rock Church in Monroe, Ohio.
