Google Smart Contact Lens

Google is working on a new health care gadget Smart Contact Lens that will help diabetic patients to instantly know the sugar level and also help them tackle their disease much more efficiently. It will also save them from repetitive pains of pins that are inserted in their body to draw blood for checking their sugar levels.

The lenses use a minuscule glucose sensor and a wireless transmitter to help those among the world's 382m diabetics who need insulin keep a close watch on their blood sugar and adjust their dose. The device, which looks like a typical contact lens, contains two twinkling glitter-specks that are loaded with tens of thousands of miniaturized transistors and is ringed with a hair-thin antenna.
