Fujitsu Atom-Powered 5.6-inch convertible PCs in the LOOX U. The top model from the portable convertible LOOX U series, the C40, sports a 1.6GHz Intel Atom CPU with 1GB of RAM. The C30 has a slower, 1.33GHz Atom CPU and a less capable Wi-Fi module. Both sport the same 5.6-inch, 1280x800 LCD touchscreen, 60GB hard-disk drive and Windows XP operating system, though Vista can be optioned. Other common specs include a 1.3-megapixel camera, USB ports, SD card reader, Bluetooth 2.1 and optional mini-VGA and Ethernet jacks.

The basic C40 weighs in at 1.25lbs, while the standard battery is rated at five hours. An optional high-capacity battery will last 10 hours. The C30 extends these numbers to 6 and 11.3 hours, respectively. The Fujitsu LOOX U will be priced at the equivalent of about $1,000
