Fruit Trifle

INGREDIENTS
1 Pack Mix Fruit Jelly
1 Pack Chocolate Brownie
1/2 Cup Flaked Almonds
1 Can Peaches in syrup or fruit coctail

CUSTARD
600ml Full Fat Milk
3 heaped tablespoon Custard
3-4 tablespoon Sugar

METHOD FOR CUSTARD & JELLY
1. Make the jelly according to the instructions on the pack and leave to cool completely & then leave in fridge till ready to assemble
2. Take ½ cup of milk out and heat the remaining milk in a non stick pan
3. Mix the custard powder and sugar in the ½ cup milk and mix well making sure there are no lumps
4. One the milk is hot and nearly boiling lower the heat and add the ½ cup of milk that you have mixed the sugar and custard powder in
5. Keep stirring and make sure the custard does not burn
6. In 7-10 minutes it will start thickening up
7. Once thick remove off heat and add to a bowl
8. Cover the bowl with cling film so a layer doesn't form on top of the custard
9. Leave to cool completely
10. Once completely cooled, keep in fridge till ready to assemble

TO ASSEMBLE
1. Break the cake with hands into pieces
2. Open the peaches can, and remove peaches from the syrup
3. Preserve the syrup from the peaches can
4. Remove custard from fridge
5. Whisk the custard with light hands
6. Remove the jelly from the fridge and cut into pieces
7. Take a trifle bowl or any serving glass/container
8. Add a layer of cake
9. Pour a bit of the preserved syrup on it
10. Optional: Next sprinkle a layer of flaked almonds
11. Next add a few piece of jelly
12. Next add a layer of custard & smooth with a spatula
13. Repeat more layers if you have a large container
14. Sprinkle with flaked almonds
