Freecom has unveiled a new thin external hard drive designed specifically to work with Apple MacBook. It is called Freecom Mobile Drive MG, covered with a lightweight magnesium frame, durable and stylish in its silver finish, the new Freecom Hard Drive is equipped with USB 3.0 interface for super-fast data transfers up to 130MBps. But the device to work with all MacBooks, it is backward compatible with USB 2.0.

Versions of the new hard drives are all three: a 750 GB with USB 3.0 and Firewire 800 from $ 170 (about 127 euro exchange rate), with a 750 GB USB 2.0 $ 130 (about 97 euro exchange rate) and by a $ 90 (about 67 euro exchange rate). The new Freecom Mobile Drive hard drive Mg will be available on the market by January.
