Last year I upgraded from Girlfriend 5.0 to Wife 1.0.
I soon noticed that the new program began unexpected child-processes that took up a lot of space and valuable resources.
In addition, Wife 1.0 installed itself into all other programs and now moni! tors all other system activities.
An application such as Bachelor Nights 10.3, Cricket 5.0, BeerWithBuddies 7.5, and Outings 3.6 no longer runs, crashing the system whenever selected. I can't seem to keep Wife 1.0 in the background while attempting to run my favourite applications.
I'm thinking about going back to Girlfriend 5.0 , but the 'uninstall' doesn't work on Wife 1.0.

This is a very common problem that people complain about.
Many people upgrade from Girlfriend 5.0 to Wife 1.0, thinking that it is just a Utilities and Entertainment program.
Wife 1.0 is an OPERATING SYSTEM and is designed by its Creator to run EVERYTHING!!!
It is also impossible to delete Wife 1.0 and to return to Girlfriend 5.0.
It is impossible to uninstall, or purge the program files from the system once installed.
You cannot go back to Girlfriend 5.0 because Wife 1.0 is designed not to allow this. (Look in
your Wife 1.0 Manual under Warnings-Alimony-Child Support) .
I recommend that you keep Wife1.0 and work on improving the environment.
I suggest installing! the background application "Yes Dear" to alleviate software augmentation.
The best course of action is to enter the command C:\APOLOGIZE because ultimately you will have to give the APOLOGIZE command before the system will return to normal anyway.
Wife 1.0 is a great program, but it tends to be very high maintenance.! Wife 1.0 comes with several support programs, such as Clean 2.5, Sweep 3.0, Cook 1.5 and DoLaundry 4.2. However, be very careful how you use these programs. Improper use will cause the system to launch the program NagNag 9.5 Once this happens, the only way to improve the performance of Wife 1.0 is to purchase additional software. I recommend Sarees 2.1 and Jewellery 5.0
WARNING : DO NOT, under any circumstances, install SecretaryWithShortSkirt 3.3 . This application is not supported by Wife 1.0 and will cause irreversible damage to the operating system.

Wife 2.75 version released!!
Just for laugs!!:D...OUR VERSION!!!
New Wife 2.75 released.
This basically involves a BIOS firmware upgrade of the "cerebrum" processor.
Salient features
- Compatible with upto 8 simultaneous sessions of GirlFriend 5.0
- Strict Chlid-process upper limit of 2, with an extended "honeymoon" period of 4 years where the process _will_not_ spawn any child processes.
This great breakthrough is achieved by competent multithreading, which also means Wife 2.75 has an efficiency increase of 85%
- The application not only is compatible with BeerWithBuddies 7.5, it also has a plugin support for BeerWithBuddies 7.5 via which it can actually join as a participant along with you.
- If credit card 4.1 is installed, then wife 2.75 seamlessly interacts with outings 3.6, and the sessions can be logged easily with purchases 2.0
- Wife 2.75 can be run in the background, unlike previous versions. (A small compromise is that Wife 2.75 occassionally takes up the entire CPU, placing other priority processes in the background )
- With wife 2.75, we have moved on from the old monolithic kernel so that now, only very basic functionality runs at kernel level. Everything else are independent threads and can be paused too !!
For example, if you find that the "love" thread is finding itself relegated to minimal CPU usage because of the "housekeeping" thread, you can pause the houskeeping thread
for greater user satisfaction.
- We have introduced the all new "compromise" subsystem in Wife 2.75, and shrunk the "argument" subsystem so that Wife 2.75 is more amicable than it's predicessors.
- No versions of SecretaryWithShortSkirt are supported yet. However, due to popular demand, the following accessory applications have been brought out
MiniSkirts 0.125, Camisole 2.0, Bikini 2007, Heels 1.5, ColoredHair 1.32, LowCutNeckline 1.1, TalkDirty XP
Similarly, some of the applications like Saree 1947 etc have been deprecated. Also, the modesty subsystem had to be removed as it could not interoperate with the above applications.
- We also have a relatively cheap "kiss pack", which can be purchased at our website. A kiss pack is a small software capsule that can temporarily boost the performance of wife 2.75.
The effect of each kiss pack lasts for 15 minutes.
We recommend, you purchase and keep some kiss packs handy, just in case you find yourself with some urgent situations where a better performance is required.
Some of the downsides of wife 2.75 are.
- Wife 2.75 still does not support dual-boot. Kindly do not install other operating systems along with wife 2.75. Both will crash.
(if the operating system is well encrypted, and you're daring enough, you may try; but strictly at USER'S RISK)
- To maintain the same performance while introducing these new applications like Bikini 2007, TalkDirty XP, BeerWithBuddies 7.5 plugin beta, etc; we have had to cut down on some of the existing

- use the "shared" responsibility mode of these applications, which is more effective than the "solo" responsibility mode
- puchase and install the additional applications WashingMachine 4.1auto, WallClock 7.5 with alarm plugin, VaccumCleaner 9.0
- preferably install the aid application, HouseMaid 12.0
- Also, emperically, we have determined (we're still working on the root-cause) that Wife 2.75 works best when the end user frequently runs

- Picnic 13.4
- ForePlay Extra 1.1
- Praise Liberal 7

- .... (the list goes on, we're discovering new ones everyday
