[h2]Eye Care: 20-20-20 - Tips for Computer Users[/h2]

An exercise for the eyes recommended by a specialist doctor that he termed as 20-20-20. It is apt for all of us, who spend long hours at our desks, looking at the computer screen.





Step I: After every 20 minutes of looking into the computer screen, turn your head and try to look at any object placed at least 20 feet away. This changes the focal length of your eyes, a must-do for the tired eyes.



Step II: Try and blink your eyes for 20 times in succession, to moisten them.


Step III: Time permitting of course, one should walk 20 paces after very 20 minutes of sitting in one particular posture. Helps blood circulation for the entire body.

In addition, I would like to add few more tips for healthy eyes

Use your glasses as prescribed
Use antiglare coated lens
Wash your eyes frequently with cold water
Use organic eggs, coconut oil, olive oil and organic butter in your diet

For healthy eyes you should...


Eat raw carrots and food that contains vitamin A
Blink your eyes regularly in order to keep them moist
Use glasses or focal lens specially when works on a computer

What chandoo has posted is correct, one must walk for every 20 minutes changing the posture and blood circulation. A simple massage to the eyes closing the right eye with right palm and left eye with the left palm crossed over each other and massaging in a circular motion will relax the eyes.

Eyes are really an important part of our body. Eye gives us the sense of sight, allowing us to learn. Wear protective glasses while using computer, relax your eyes look at some distance objects outside and return back to work .Eat fresh fruits and vegetables.
