E-Kaia Botanical Smartphone Charger

A team of scientists from Chile has recently introduced an interesting invention E-Kaia, which generates the power from outdoor plants to charge a smartphone that is produced during photosynthesis. According to its creators, E-Kaia can generate up to 5V and 600mAh with a single plant. However, how this device exactly works has been kept secret by them.



Although there are some recent concepts like wireless charging and furniture charging, but these can be a bit costly solutions and require a special smart device which support this technology. While this is not the case with E-Kaia as it is compatible for all types of smartphones and is also cost-efficient. Thus the team hopes to commercialise its innovative smartphone charger this year.
